HFRHJBRFRFRF, STOP SCROLLING PLEASE THANK YOU AND READ THIS POST.

Okay, my lovely loyal followers. I don’t ask for much so I’d really appreciate it if you just read this WHOLE post and do me a massive favour. :D It’ll mean so much!

XFade Records is a record label established in Sedgehill School (Catford, London) and currently have 10 amazing acts signed to the label. These 10 acts have really amazing and unique voices.

Amongst these 10 acts are 4 extraordinary acts! Names? Well, they are The Octaves, Unique , Anatidaephobia and Trey Qua!

Well, let me tell you a bit about all 4 of them.

The Octaves – an amazing all female trio (consists of the beautiful ladies, Arlene, Trishana and Iandra). All aged 16. Their musical inspirations are Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, Etta James and many more. Their dreams and aspirations are to be successful in the music industry and take the world by storm. These girls have worked extremely hard in the studio to write and record amazing songs so please go and check out their first single, ‘Back Now’ at:

Trey Qua – an amazing solo act! He is a young artist at Sedgehill School. He was born and raised in Lewisham, London, and has seen the best and the worst of it.  As an artist he looks to share his experiences through his music. He plays eleven instruments along with singing, rapping and beat boxing (amazing talent, right?!). He first picked up a guitar at the age of 5 inspired by School Of Rock, and he started to beat box at the age 7. He then got the urge to play drums, so at the age of 8 he was in a steel pan group and started taking piano lessons. At the age of 10 he started to play bass out of curiosity. When he started Sedgehill back in 2007, he was able to refine his skills on many instruments. He started to play drums, harp, trumpet, cello, violin, and recently he has taken up saxophone. He has been singing, rapping, dancing and acting throughout this period.

A guy with that much talent definitely deserves all the support you guys can give him, right? Right! So please, check out his amazing single ‘Walking’ at:

Thirdly, we’ve got Anatidaephobia. The group consists of Lucille, Naomi, Jake, Ben and Charlie.

The style of their music incorporates elements of rock, indie and acoustic music. They are all interested in different genres; ranging from jazz, rock, gospel and pop. Anatidaephobia is the fear that somehow, some where a duck is watching you and the lead guitarist, Charlie, suggested it for their title. Their music is influenced by many artists such as Hey Monday, The Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Citizen Cope and many others.
They try and create music that catches the interest of a variety of listeners so we hope you enjoy our songs!
You can listen to their first single at:

Last but not least, Unique! A group of six young girls: Aicha, Georgia, Grace, Holly, Tiandra and Vicky in Year 8, formed by Jacqueline Warburton, when they were in Year 7.

They lead Sedgehill’s show choir with different songs. They are now part of XFade records, the schools record label. Working with manager Jonathan Burke and Sedgehill School’s Musician in Residence Mr Gilbert, they are creating new songs and will hopefully hit the big stage soon. Their idols and inspirations are Adele, Alicia Keys and many others including Justin Bieber. These girls have worked really hard to write their music and record it in the studio, so please check out their song ‘Butterflies’ at:
